If you are a person with access to tv/the internet/newspapers/other people, then chances are you heard that a pretty big wedding went down recently. That’s right–on May 19, 2018, the Royal Wedding took place, and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle got married and became The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Of course, there was a lot of buzz surrounding the event, and a lot of it had to do with what Meghan — and the wedding guests — wore. (Btw, I’m using “Meghan and the Wedding Guests” as my future hypothetical band name.)

And, while I could probably write countless articles dedicated to Royal Wedding fashion inspiration, I have managed to whittle down my list of the best-dressed at the event to four of my absolute favorites: Amal Clooney, Pippa Middleton, Oprah, and, of course, Meghan herself!

So, keep scrolling to find out how to get these stylish looks — even if you’re not on a royal budget!

Outfit #1: Amal Clooney

As far as the guests’ outfits go, Amal Clooney’s bright yellow ensemble was my favorite for sure!

Her sophisticated outfit consisted of an elegant midi dress with structured gathers and pleats, as well as a small “train” of fabric in the back. She accessorized the dress with gold cap-toe heels, a metallic box clutch, sparkly drop earrings, and a yellow wide-brim fascinator with embellished mesh detailing.

For a look that is similar to Amal’s, put on a cheery short-sleeved yellow dress with a defined waist. Next, add some drop earrings that look like the diamond ones Amal wore (at only a fraction of the price!).

Add a pair of comfortable gold kitten heels, whose d’orsay-like silhouette and side straps offer the same barely-there illusion that Amal’s shoes do.

A pale gold box clutch adds some understated elegance; finally, a yellow knotted hairband is a great way to pay tribute to the fascinators that Amal — and all of the other female guests — wore, in a subtle, but still stylish, way.

Outfit #2: Pippa Middleton

For Meghan and Harry’s wedding, Pippa Middleton chose to wear a fun and feminine long-sleeved midi dress that demonstrated that florals and pastels for Spring can still look fresh, modern, and youthful. While some people didn’t like her look, comparing it to a can of Arizona Iced Tea, I think Pippa looked fabulous.

Pippa kept the look soft and pretty by pairing her dress with a muted pink fascinator, box clutch, and strappy heels. Aside from her engagement and wedding rings, the only jewelry Pippa wore were (what appeared to be) diamond floral stud earrings.

To get a Pippa-Middleton-inspired look, put on a lovely mint floral-printed dress. Then, put on a pair of floral stud earrings for a classy touch of sparkle.

These strappy heels definitely make a statement, but their neutral beige color keeps them in line with the rest of the look.

Gauzy dusty pink flower hair pins are the perfect nod to Pippa’s floral fascinator; lastly, a simple pink clutch completes this girly look.

Outfit #3: Oprah

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s celebrity guest list would not have been complete without Oprah. Ms. Winfrey’s gorgeous look — which was apparently created at the very last minute — did not disappoint!

For her stand-out Royal Wedding look, Oprah wore a beautiful long-sleeved pale pink midi dress with a defined waist, tiered skirt, and lace trims. She accessorized with a small handbag, heeled Mary Jane mules, sparkly rectangular drop earrings, a teardrop-shaped ring, dark beige rectangular sunglasses, and a truly statement-making hat, complete with flowers and feathers!

Since Oprah is plus-size, I decided to find a plus-size dress for this look as well, and this elegant pale pink number — which is very similar to the one Oprah wore — certainly does not disappoint!

To get Oprah’s look, begin by slipping on a pair of pale peachy-pink mules. Next, grab a small dusty pink bag which serves as a great clutch-alternative.

As for jewelry, you can’t go wrong with a pair of sparkly square-shaped drop earrings, nor a beautiful teardrop-shaped ring, whose setting is exactly the same as Oprah’s!

If you’re feeling extra bold, finish off the outfit with a feather hairband as a tribute to Oprah’s glam hat choice.

Outfit #4: Meghan Markle

You didn’t think I would leave Meghan Markle herself out of this post, did you?!

For the wedding itself, Meghan wore an understatedly elegant Givenchy gown (which is pictured in the black and white photo above), which she accessorized with a breathtaking tiara that belonged to Queen Mary, as well as a pair of diamond stud earrings and white shoes. However, for the reception, she went for a different aesthetic, opting for a gorgeous Stella McCartney gown, dangling diamond earrings, an aquamarine ring (that belonged to Princess Diana), and white heels with blue soles.

Since I found both of these looks to be beautiful, the Meghan-inspired look takes elements from both of these regal ensembles.

For the dress portion of Meghan’s look, I decided to go with a white halter style that is reminiscent the dress she wore to her reception. Accessorize this simply elegant dress with a faux-jewel-encrusted hairband that’s (almost) as sparkly as Meghan’s wedding tiara, as well as a pair of timeless faux-diamond stud earrings and a dainty aquamarine ring.

While Meghan didn’t carry a clutch with either of her looks, I took the liberty of including a fun gold and silver glittery ombré box clutch that would have looked right at home with either of her ensembles. I also swapped out Meghan’s white shoes for a pair of shiny silver heeled sandals for a look that is more “party” than “wedding,” since the former is closer to what I had in mind when putting this look together.

Finally, if you paid extra attention to the details of Meghan’s wedding look, you likely noticed that she was sporting a Queen-Elizabeth-approved manicure using the shade “Ballet Slippers” by Essie, so swipe on a couple of coats of the pretty shade before heading out the door.

What do you think?

Which of the Royal Wedding looks did you like best? Are you inspired to re-create any of them on your own? What would you have worn if you were invited to Meghan and Harry’s wedding?
