Celebrity Street Style of the Week: Jessica Alba, Bella Hadid, & Danielle Brooks

Every week, I scour the web to find inspiring outfits on your favorite celebs and help you recreate their looks! This week, I was inspired by Jessica Alba, Bella Hadid, and Danielle Brooks. Read on to see how you can get their looks for yourself.
Look 1: Jessica Alba’s Colorful Midi Skirt
Jessica Alba didn’t shy away from color while out in Toronto this past week. Jessica opted for a bold, colorful midi skirt and some blue suede pumps to bring out the blue in her skirt.
Since her skirt is so vibrant, Jessica expertly balanced the bottom half of her look with a simple white top. She also gave her ensemble a bit of edge by topping it off with a moto jacket, making it especially perfect for a night out.

Midi skirts are a lovely summer trend, and they’re super flattering when they have a bodycon fit to show off your curves. This midi skirt features a print and a bright, bold color scheme like Jessica’s; pump up the vibrant hues by pairing it with pumps in a complementary shade.
Next, balance out the ensemble by wearing a simple white crew-neck top either tucked into the skirt or in a cropped length. Since Jessica’s look is already so bold, keep accessories scaled back; this clutch has a subtle print and combines the pink and black tones from the skirt in a subdued way. For an edgy twist for a night out, complete the outfit with a faux leather biker jacket.
Look 2: Bella Hadid’s Daytime Cool
Bella Hadid looked stylish as always while out in NYC, wearing a raw-edge hem denim skirt, one of this summer’s biggest trends.
Denim skirts have made a major comeback, as other celebs have been rocking them too (like Alessandra Ambrosio in last week’s celeb style roundup). Bella kept her outfit laid-back by mixing her skirt with a black square-neck bodysuit, no jewelry, and some patent black booties. She also wore silver mirrored aviator sunglasses and carried a black satchel bag, giving her outfit a clean, modern feel.

Bella’s look is easy to put together, super trendy, and great for day or night.
Rock this season’s hottest throwback item, the denim mini skirt, in an updated way. The square neckline of this black top has clean, angular lines similar to Bella’s bodysuit, which makes this look very wearable. Instead of Bella’s military-esque booties, try a pair with an open toe and slingback for a more summery vibe (plus, these will better allow your feet to breathe in warm temps). Keep accessories light by adding some sleek silver mirrored aviators and a structured black satchel bag.
Look 3: Danielle Brooks’s Summertime Chic
Orange Is The New Black star Danielle Brooks looked beautiful in a perfectly proportioned ensemble while attending an event in NYC. It’s always fun to see OITNB cast members outside of their show’s wardrobe, and Danielle did not disappoint in her chic, feminine look.
Danielle wore a flowy printed skirt that hit mid-calf, and balanced it out with a simple gray crew-neck t-shirt which gave her outfit a more casual, wearable vibe. Danielle accented her waist with a wide black leather belt, which added some stylish contrast to her look. Finally, she completed her ensemble with statement earrings and a pair of heeled sandals.

I love how Danielle’s outfit is feminine and dressy yet features a plain gray t-shirt which many of us may already have in our wardrobes. Wear a gray tee with a flowy skirt of midi or maxi length– or somewhere in between, like this skirt with a hanky hemline which is very summery. The print of this skirt is a bit less bright than Danielle’s, but its color scheme still works well with the t-shirt.
To make this outfit pop, wear a wide faux leather belt which will add contrast and cinch your waist for a ladylike look. Complete the ensemble with a pair of statement earrings, a simple clutch, and some strappy heeled sandals.
