Look 1: Kat Graham’s Casual Chic

Actress and singer Kat Graham looked ultra chic yet laid-back while out in NYC this past week. Kat gave her ensemble an edgy, cool vibe by rocking a pair of ultra distressed cropped jeans with other, dressier pieces, including a white neck-tie blouse, a long black coat, and black platform pumps. She also carried an eye-catching clutch for extra flair. Kat’s ensemble proves that it is possible to dress up edgy, super ripped jeans with more classic pieces.

I love Kat’s look for dinner out, and it also makes for a day-to-night transitional look: rock this outfit with trousers to your internship, then change into the distressed jeans for after hours wear!

These ultra distressed, light wash jeans are similar to Kat’s, and they look great with this white tie-neck blouse that’s similar to hers. Dress the jeans up with a black blazer or long wool-blend coat, black platform pumps, and a cute clutch like this gold beaded one. You’re ready to hit the town!

Look 2: Hannah Jeter’s Sleek Athleisure-Wear

Supermodel Hannah Jeter (née Hannah Davis) attended a sporty event in NYC, and she knew just how to rock the athleisure trend that’s taken over fashion. Hannah wore eye-catching gray striped athletic leggings with a black workout tank featuring a mesh neckline. She added a black anorak over top, along with some printed black and gray sneakers, great for roaming the city (or actually working out). Hannah elevated her ensemble with chic, oversized sunglasses and a quilted purse with a gold chain-strap.

Fun, printed athletic leggings are sure to give you an extra spring in your step, whether you’re working out or just running errands. These leggings are striped like Hannah’s, alternating between black and space-dyed gray for a unique look. Wear them with a black workout tank; while a simple one works, take a cue from Hannah and pick one with some flair, like this tank with a sheer mesh neckline. Complete the ensemble with fun, printed gray sneakers, a black anorak, and chic accessories including dark, oversized sunglasses and a quilted bag.

Look 3: Alessandra Ambrosio Laid-Back Look

Alessandra Ambrosio did some late-night shopping in Beverly Hills in a laid-back yet fashionable look. Alessandra wore some faded straight-leg jeans with a coral-colored sweater, taupe suede ankle booties, and an Hermès shoulder bag in cognac.

While Alessandra’s outfit is simple, the warm hues and the varying textures keep it from being basic: Instead, it looks quite put-together. During the winter months, we often opt for darker colors, but Alessandra’s look serves as a reminder that lighter, warm tones can work, too.

These cool straight leg jeans have a vintage wash that makes them similar to Alessandra’s. They look fab when paired with some taupe suede ankle booties. The key to achieving Alessandra’s look is to wear a sweater in a warm hue, like this light coral knit. Who says knitwear has to reflect the season (which is often cold and gloomy)? A vibrantly colored sweater is an eye-catching choice that’s still functional for chilly temps. Finish the ensemble with a tan bag in a cool, slightly slouchy shape, like this trendy bucket bag.
