Celebrity Street Style of the Week: Lupita Nyong’o’s Bold Black and White
Black Panther star Lupita Nyong’o turned heads while heading to a recent appearance wearing a super bold, textured look.
Lupita rocked a sequined black and white striped sleeveless top with some high waisted black patent leather trousers and a matching patent trench coat. She elevated her ensemble with some strappy sandals, round brow bar sunglasses, and thick, silver hoop earrings.

Lupita’s ensemble will have you feeling like a heroine yourself, with its eye-catching and edgy textures.
Get her look with a pair of black faux patent leather high waisted trousers – these are from Target, but they look like they came straight off a runway!
Turn up the shine with some thick silver hoop earrings and a sequined black and white striped sleeveless top, which make this look ideal for a party or a night out.
This black patent leather-like trench coat is an awesome dupe for Lupita’s, but you could also swap it out for a long black duster sweater for a more toned-down look. Bring it all together with some strappy sandals or a pair of black sock booties for colder temps.
Celebrity Look #2: Emma Roberts’s Edgy Casual
Emma Roberts did some shopping in an edgy yet laid-back look featuring a statement skirt.
Emma wore a black and white striped mini skirt with cool contrast zipper details, along with a t-shirt featuring a small embroidered message on the chest. She accessorized with fun pieces including a black backpack with patches, tortoise cat-eye sunglasses, and some black and white checkered Vans.

This striped skirt features similar contrasting zipper details as Emma’s skirt, giving it that unique, edgy vibe.
For a casual, daytime look, wear it with a t-shirt featuring an embroidered motif or a graphic print. A pair of black and white checkered Vans slip-on sneakers are in keeping with the laid-back look, plus they contrast with the striped pattern of the skirt to create mixed prints.
Accessorize with some funky cat-eye sunglasses and a backpack with patches, which is both cool and functional.
Celebrity Look #3: Melissa Benoist’s Sleek Stripes
Supergirl actress Melissa Benoist looked sleek in her recent striped ensemble, opting for a dressier look.
Melissa paired a multicolor striped sweater with a silky black midi skirt with a slit. She wore red pumps for an added pop of color, and accessorized simply with a black crossbody bag.

Complete the look with a black crossbody bag and a pair of red pumps for a pop of color.
