What Are Faux Fur Details?
Fur has been a staple in fall fashion for many years, but faux fur was introduced commercially in the 1950s and has steadily risen in popularity ever since. Today, animal rights groups have convinced many fashion brands to make the choice to go fur-free and only use faux.
Additionally, manufacturing advancements have greatly improved the look and feel of faux fur, which in turn helped it become more mainstream.
Faux Fur Details in Fall 2018 Fashion Shows
What is great about faux fur is that it is both chic and glamorous, yet functional enough to keep you warm during the winter. Major houses like Gucci have pledged to stop using real fur and have since used faux fur in many of their runway shows.
For those who would like to stay on trend this fall, I suggest you look into some faux fur detailed boots or heels and maybe even a faux fur detailed jacket. Below are a few of my favorite faux fur finds that you can buy right now.

One of the most traditional ways to add faux fur to your wardrobe is with winter jackets. This can include a faux fur lining or even some trim on the outside of your hood.

Faux Fur Sweaters
Fall can be pretty cold at times, so it is always a good idea to choose clothing options that keep you warm. This sweater falls perfectly into the teddy bear sweater/jacket trend that has been popular lately.
What I love about faux fur sweaters is how they can be comfortable as well as fashionable. It could be paired perfectly with a laid-back pair of jeans and even with a cute bootie. Or if you’re heading to class, you can wear it with leggings and a pair of sneakers. You can find this cozy sweater at Forever 21 for the decent price of $48.
Faux Fur Slides
When it comes to faux fur, slide-on sandals are the hottest trend in the category. A while back, Rihanna partnered with Puma to create faux fur slides that everyone was trying to get their hands on.
They retail for $90, though some are on sale right now for $45. If you don’t want to fork over that much cash, you can always go for the less expensive option from Forever 21. These slides come in three colors–pink, blue, and purple–all for the low, low price of $12.99.
