Spending her semester abroad in London, Kyana is a junior at Suffolk University majoring in Public Relations. She has always dreamed of living in Europe and hopes to settle down here one day. Kyana blends femininity with grunge, making for a truly versatile and unique look.

Let’s Talk Fashion 

Who or what inspires your style? “UK street style and European fashion in general.”

Where do you like to shop? “I like Urban Outfitters, Brandy Melville, ASOS, Topshop, and Zara. If I see something I like and can think out an outfit to wear it with, I buy it.”

How would you describe your sense of style? “I like really grungy stuff but I am not scared to dress girly. If I see a babydoll dress I will wear it, but I am not afraid to wear mesh with fishnets.”

Why did you choose this particular outfit? “When I saw this skirt I thought ‘this is a high tea skirt,’ and when I wear one piece of reserve clothing I like to spice it up with something more revealing – like this shirt.”

What fashion advice would you give to other students looking to improve their style? “Nothing is out of reach and if you idolize somebody’s fashion, don’t be scared to try it out on yourself.”

What are your favorite trends right now? “I totally love the grungy street styles/’90s hip hop. Like hoop [earring]s! I love wearing hoops.”

What do you do for fun – do you have any unique hobbies or interests? “I hang out with friends and [I] love exploring. I read tarot cards and [I] love finding new music.”

If you could raid anyone’s closet, who would it be and why? “I would raid Krystal @iamtherodzilla on Instagram. I totally love her. She is from America and lives in the UK. I totally idolize her life.”
