Struggling to find creative DIY craft ideas? Look no further! These crafts are easy, inexpensive, and ideal for any sorority girl.

Whether it’s Big Little Week or you’re just feeling crafty, DIY sorority crafts are always a must if you’re part of a sorority

You don’t need to be an artist to pull off a decent piece of artwork either. All you need to do is take a quick trip to your local craft store and pick up some craft supplies. You’re ready to become an artist!

Here are four fun ideas for sorority craft projects:

1. Sorority Canvas

Probably the most popular sorority craft out there, painted canvases allow you to add your own creative touch to your Greek letters while attempting to make it look good.

Unlike you, I do not consider myself to be much of an artist, so canvases are not up my alley, but for those who enjoy painting, this is an ideal opportunity!

What You Need:

  • Blank canvas of any size
  • Paintbrushes
  • Pencil
  • Assortment of paint colors
  • Tarp to put under your painting so that it doesn’t get messy

How to Make It:

First, start by lightly sketching out your design in pencil to avoid any costly mistakes once you bring out the paint.

Once you’ve perfected the sketch, dip your paintbrush in the first color and carefully begin to fill in the sketch

After several more colors and layers, your canvas should look colorful and pretty. Now let that baby dry!

2. Greek Letters

Perfect for a gift or a Big Little week decoration, Greek Letters are super easy to make, whether you’re an expert artist or a beginner like me.

What You Need:

  • Wooden Greek letters (find these at Michaels, or any craft store)
  • Paintbrush
  • Paint in your choice of color
  • Pencil
  • Tarp to put under your painting so that it doesn’t get messy

How to Make It:

Start by sketching out your design onto your letters. These letters could have a pattern, gradient, or just be a solid color. There are so many potential options!

Next, carefully fill in your sketch with paint. After you’ve successfully painted your piece, let it dry.

3. Big Little Paddle

Paddles are a great way to express to your Big how much you love her. Customizing the paddle in a way that suits her personality with a sweet message on the back will make her love you forever.

What You Need:

  • Wooden paddle
  • Decorating Supplies
  • Paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Pencil
  • Tarp (to go under your craft)

How to Make It:

Start by sketching out on paper what you want the paddle to look like. Pick a design/theme that suites your Big. Also, write out a message that you want her to read.

Next, paint the paddle in any design or solid color. Let it dry.

Then begin to add decorations. Maybe you want to hot glue on fake flowers or gems. Endless possibilities.

Once the front of the paddle is complete with decorations, your name, her name, and your sorority letters, start on the back! The back is where you right a heartfelt message to your Big.

4. Sorority Jewelry

Customized jewelry is a must-have for any sorority girl. Instead of spending $50 on that sterling silver Greek necklace, make your own!

What You Need:

  • Your sorority letter pendant or sorority symbol pendant
  • A silver or gold necklace chain
  • Pliers
  • Necklace clasp
  • Necklace loops

How to Make It:

First, go online and search for “[insert your sorority name] letter charm or symbol charm” and results will pop up! Etsy is a great resource to find customizable necklace charms.

Next, purchase a necklace chain to match the charm. If your chain doesn’t have an end clasp or loops to clip the clasp to, I suggest ordering those separately and using pliers to attach them to the chain. Super easy craft!

Will you be trying any of these DIY projects?

The amount of sorority crafts to make are endless, but these four are need-to-knows and are perfect for so many different occasions. Comment below and tell us some of your favorite sorority crafts.
