Weekend trips anyone?

With school back in session, there isn’t much time for vacations (sadly). But, we still have the weekends! So if you find some time, go explore somewhere new on your weekend off. Or, if you are abroad like me, you will find that weekend trips to surrounding countries are common – and so much fun!

When you’re only gone for a couple days, you want to pack light to maximize the space in your smaller bag. Here are some clothing items that’ll keep your packing list simple:

Cute Sneakers

Products: White w/ stripes, Grey Nikes, Tan sneakers, White high-tops, Black espadrilles

When exploring a new place, there is often a lot of walking. So make sure you pack comfy shoes! Since there won’t be much room in your bag for multiple pairs, pick a versatile pair of stylish sneakers that you can rock all weekend.

Boyfriend Jeans

Products: 1, 2, 3, 4 (left to right)

If you’re like me, you’re comfortable wearing the same pair of jeans all weekend. The trick is to stick to a pair that’ll work with anything. I particularly like boyfriend jeans. Not only are they stylish, but they are so comfy, which is key when traveling.

Casual Tops

Products: Top row – 12, 3 // Bottom Row – 123

For weekend trips, casual shirts that won’t get wrinkled are the best choice. T-shirts are easy to roll up and take up little space, so choose a couple with cool designs or unique graphics to spice things up.

Trench Coat

Products: Top Row – 1, 2, 3 // Bottom Row – 1, 2

Since it is fall, you probably need a jacket. Trench coats instantly add class to any outfit (even a tee shirt and boyfriend jeans!). They are great if it’s a little chilly or even raining.

Since jackets take up a lot of space, it’s best to just pick one to wear all weekend. But don’t worry, a neutral trench goes with anything and works in any setting.

Backpack or Duffel

Products: Top Row – 1, 2, 3 // Bottom Row – 1, 2

Finally, you need something to hold all of these items. A backpack, or a duffel bag, is necessary for short tips. Since you’re only gone for a couple days you don’t want to bring a heavy suitcase. Especially if you’re flying, limit yourself to one small carry-on bag to skip the hassle of checking luggage.
