Celebrity Street Style of the Week: Alessandra Ambrosio, Olivia Palermo, & Nicky Hilton
It’s all about denim in this week’s celeb style roundup.
Every week, I scour the web to find inspiring outfits on your favorite celebs and help you recreate their looks! This week, I was inspired by Alessandra Ambrosio, Olivia Palermo, and Nicky Hilton. Read on to see how you can get their looks for yourself.
Look 1: Alessandra Ambrosio’s Western-Inspired Ensemble
Supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio always looks on-trend even when she’s off the runway. While in L.A. recently, she rocked a Western-inspired ensemble featuring denim on denim and of-the-moment accessories for a super current (and cute) look.
Alessandra wore a raw-edge denim skirt with a lighter colored button-down shirt tucked in, breaking them up with a Western-style belt with a silver buckle. She kept the silver theme going with mirrored aviators and layered necklaces, including a black and silver studded choker and a longer silver pendant necklace. Alessandra completed her look with some tan heeled sandals with a cutout design and carried a structured purse in a similar hue with tassel detailing.

Alessandra’s look is a feminine take on the Western trend that is so big right now, and it’s cute for daytime or nighttime wear.
To get her look, pair a light wash denim shirt with a slightly darker wash denim skirt – this skirt features a raw-edge hem and a zig-zag seam like Alessandra’s. Break up the denim-on-denim with a bold belt that is Southwestern-inspired and features a burnished silver buckle, which will also help flatter your waistline.
Don’t be afraid to accessorize! Alessandra did not skimp on accessories, rocking silver stud earrings, silver mirrored sunglasses, a long silver pendant necklace, and a black and silver choker necklace. While Alessandra’s tan cutout heeled sandals were killer, these tan sandals are a bit more versatile since they have a shorter, thicker heel. For a final touch, carry a crossbody bag in a hue that matches the sandals with some fringe or tassel detailing.
Look 2: Olivia Palermo Doubled Up Denim
Olivia Palermo looked chic as always while strolling in Brooklyn, New York this past week. Olivia donned a denim shirt paired with jeans in a similar wash, sometimes affectionately dubbed the “Canadian tuxedo.” She pulled her ensemble together with a classic long, tan trench coat, sturdy black oversized sunglasses, and a pair of studded flats with black trim, creating a simple yet statement-making look.

Olivia’s look is both casual and chic, and would be especially great come fall when the weather cools down.
To get her look, pair a denim shirt with skinny jeans in a similar medium or dark wash, topping them off with a lightweight tan trench coat. A trench coat is a classic piece that makes for a timeless wardrobe addition. Keep accessories simple by wearing a pair of dark oversized sunglasses and some subtly studded flats (though plain black flats will also do the trick).
Look 3: Nicky Hilton’s Off-The-Shoulder Dress
Nicky Hilton showed off her adorable pregnancy style while also out in NYC this week, donning one of the trendiest pieces of the summer: a denim off-the-shoulder dress with a ruffle top. She gave her dress a summery, beachy vibe with a straw fedora and a straw basket-style handbag, and wore simple tan flat sandals, along with some round sunglasses. Whether going to the beach or strolling around the city, this look is sweet and right on trend.

Nicky’s dress combines all of this summer’s biggest trends: off-the-shoulder, denim, and a ruffled top. The good news is that there are a ton of stores selling their own versions of this summer 2016 staple, so it shouldn’t be too difficult to find your own at the right price point for you. This dress has a denim wash like Nicky’s, and looks fab when paired with straw and tan colored accessories.
For Nicky’s beach-inspired take on the dress, wear it with a straw fedora hat, simple flat, tan sandals, and a straw tote bag (which can double as a beach tote). Complete the look with a pair of round sunglasses and a dainty gold pendant necklace – this one features an adorable pineapple pendant which is in keeping with the outfit’s summery vibe.
