Celebrity Street Style of the Week: Dakota Johnson, Sienna Miller & Alessandra Ambrosio

Look 1: Dakota Johnson’s Put-Together Prep
Actress Dakota Johnson looked put-together in a preppy look while traveling this past week. She kept her look simple and classic, wearing a long, structured gray coat over a long black and white polka dot print shirt and some cropped, lightly distressed straight-leg jeans. She carried a structured black satchel and wore dark, oversized sunglasses and loafer flats with gold chain link detailing.
While Dakota’s distressed jeans gave her ensemble a casual feel, the simple color palette and clean lines of her look made it refined and timeless.

Dakota’s ensemble reminds me of Spencer Hastings’ style on Pretty Little Liars – I could totally see Spencer wearing this East Coast prep-inspired look.
A long, structured gray coat is a classic investment piece that will always be in style. Wear it over a white shirt with a black polka dot print; the print on this particular blouse is especially perfect since it’s faint like Dakota’s. For a work setting, wear black trousers, or for Dakota’s more casual look, opt for some slightly distressed straight-leg jeans. Complete the ensemble with black accessories including top-bar sunglasses, a structured satchel, and loafer flats with a chain link detail.
Look 2: Sienna Miller’s Trendy Chic
Sienna Miller stepped out in NYC looking super chic in a trendy look perfect for the season. Sienna rocked a pair of leather shorts which she made fall-appropriate by adding black tights underneath, along with black ankle booties with a lace-up detail. Sienna also wore a simple white t-shirt and topped her ensemble off with a red tweed statement jacket featuring a bold plaid print.
Statement jackets are an awesome way to add eye-catching appeal to any of your fall or winter outfits. Since many of us will be bundling up in the coming months, investing in cool outerwear à la Sienna is a great style strategy.

I just adore the fun, colorful plaid print of this wool-blend coat; not only does it make for a great dupe of Sienna’s jacket, but it will instantly add a dose of eye-catching style to any look.
For Sienna’s ensemble, wear the coat over a simple white top or tee and some faux leather shorts, along with black tights for warmth. Complete the look with black lace-up ankle boots and sheer round sunglasses for daytime wear. (Just remove the sunglasses and you’re good to go at night!)
Look 3: Alessandra Ambrosio’s Laid-Back Look
Alessandra Ambrosio is queen of both the runway and of model-off-duty style. She is always dressed well, even for a casual day out with her family.
This week, Alessandra looked amazing in light wash boyfriend jeans with a higher waistline, a cropped gray sweater with distressing, some mirrored cat-eye sunglasses, and a woven gray scarf. Alessandra added to the laid-back vibe of her look by rocking neutral low-top slip-on sneakers, which have been trending in recent months.

A sweater in a cropped length makes for a fun, unique twist on a fall classic – the key is to wear it with high-rise jeans so that only a peek of skin (if any) will show. This cropped gray sweater features distressing similar to Alessandra’s and pairs well with a woven scarf in the same hue.
Keep the rest of the pieces in tones of gray, silver, and taupe to achieve Alessandra’s cohesive color palette. Silver mirrored cat-eye sunglasses, a taupe crossbody bag, and silver slip-on sneakers are cool yet versatile pieces that complete her look.
