An oversized blazer is one of the greatest layering pieces in your arsenal, and it’s hotter than ever this season. (See our article on plaid boyfriend blazers for more!)

This piece is sure to come in handy as we move into the colder months; especially since this is the time of year where most classrooms haven’t quite figured out the temperature settings yet.

This layer will help you stay cozy throughout your day, and for your night out, it’s polished and gives off all of those cool girl vibes. It’s also a definite step up from your Fracket.

Here are two oversized blazer outfits to try this upcoming week:

Class is in session, and today our focus is on layering. Moving from class to class is sure to be chilly, so we’re going to need a couple of layers.

The great thing about a blazer as a for-class layer is its versatility. Depending on the thickness of the material, it can easily replace your coat entirely or add an extra layer of warmth underneath it.

For today’s look, we’re going to pair our blazer with some navy pinstriped pants. Keeping with the navy theme, our shoes from Kohl’s match perfectly and have pretty gold details for interest. Our black turtleneck adds needed extra warmth and contrast to this otherwise navy-centric look. (Yes, you can wear black and navy together!)

How to Style an Oversized Blazer for a Night Out:

Products: Blazer – Mango, Dress – Revolve, Sneakers – Amazon, Purse – Kohl’s, Bracelet – Sole Society

It’s finally time to ditch the books and enjoy your night. To begin, let’s slip into this tank dress from Revolve. A tank dress may seem out of the question for this time of the year, but pairing it with a blazer allows you to rock it in chillier temps.

This combination, at first, might seem a little dressier than your usual night out looks. So to bring the look more in line with usual campus wear, try mixing it up by replacing heels with a pair of fashion sneakers. You’re good to slay on your night out!

What do you think?

What do you think of these oversized blazer outfits? Have you invested in an oversized blazer yet? If not, are you going to get one? (This can be a great thing to buy vintage, BTW!) Tell us in the comments.
