Holiday Looks Inspired by Disney Christmas Movies
As long as there’s Christmas, I truly believe… that your outfit will be on point.
Maybe it’s because I spend all of my time at Disney World during the holidays, but to me, nothing is more inspiring for my holiday aesthetic than Disney Christmas movies. The music! The colors! The inevitable happy ending where everyone learns a lesson about kindness and the spirit of giving! Is there anything cuter?
To help you get into the Christmas spirit (honestly, do you still even need help at this point?), here are some looks inspired by three of my favorite Disney Christmas movies:
Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas

Whether you like Disney sequels or are more of a purist who pretends that the sequels don’t exist, you can’t deny that Belle’s Christmas dress is the best thing to come out of Disney’s direct-to-video offerings. I honestly can’t wear red velvet around the holidays without feeling like a magical princess.
For a Christmas look inspired by “The Enchanted Christmas” and Belle’s dress itself, stick to a wine, black, and gold color palette by pairing a velvet dress with glittery extras, namely a gold clutch, a pearl choker, and black velvet shoes with gold glitter heels. Next, add Beauty and the Beast-inspired details like these rose earrings and a velvet bow in the same hue as your dress. The holidays are my favorite time to experiment with bold makeup, so finish with a deep wine lip and shimmery gold eyeshadow to make your features pop.
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas

For a more classic take on the holiday color palette, look no further for inspiration than Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas. This movie is always at the top of my watch list around the holidays because I apparently enjoy the kind of sticky-sweet feels that can only be induced by watching Mickey and Minnie sell their prized possessions to get each other Christmas presents (sob).
Update the traditional Xmas green/red/white color scheme by incorporating emerald, burgundy, and cream into your look – try a cream button-down blouse with an emerald A-line skirt and velvet burgundy loafers. This plaid cropped jacket ties all of the colors together, and Minnie would definitely love these subtly polka-dotted tights and red bow! I usually like to keep my accessories to a minimum when using mixed prints, so keep it simple with a delicate gold locket.
Frozen

I know, I know: Everybody is so over Frozen, but you can’t deny that Elsa’s icy blue and white color palette is winter style inspiration goals. Besides, white and blue is a great way to be festive while shaking up the traditional red-and-green palette.
This white dress has lacy details that remind me of snow, while these snowflake-patterned tights and snowflake hairpins add a few more touches of ice. A pale blue coat will keep you warm while sticking to the color scheme. Add that quintessential holiday pop of glitter with some gorgeous silver flats.
