Angelica’s outfit is cute, comfy, and definitely flirty. She expertly layered her outfit to show off her strappy bralette, a little detail I’ve been seeing all over campus. But her casual sneakers truly won me over.

Let’s Talk Fashion
Who or what inspires your style? “I would have to say my older sisters inspire my style. I’ve always loved seeing how they dressed from a young age. They would always dress however they wanted, no matter the time or place.”
How would you describe your sense of style? “Well my sense of style changes with my mood, but most of the time it’s simple and flowy. I love clothes that have an open back, like this dress. I run around a lot, so I wear a lot of sneakers and movable clothes.”
Why did you choose this outfit? “I [chose] this outfit because it’s easy to move in and it’s comfortable. I like twirling around in it. The fabric is also lightweight so it’s good for summer. I think it’s cool to mix dresses with Converse. I don’t really wear heels to class.”
What fashion advice would you give to other students looking to improve their style? “Wear whatever you want; it’s your outfit! It has to be comfortable for it to suit you. Don’t be afraid mix dressy and casual.”
What are your favorite trends right now? “I really like strappy bras you can see peeking through your outfits, like the one I’m wearing, or ones with back details you can wear with a backless shirt. I love tops with holes in the shoulders.”
What do you do for fun – do you have any unique hobbies or interests? “I love to draw little anime characters or cartoons. I read a lot of manga and watch a lot of anime. My favorites right now are Moe Kare and Code Geass. If I’m not doing that, I’m outside playing in the sun with my niece and nephew.”
If you could raid anyone’s closet who would it be? “My oldest sister because she has lots of sparkly outfits and cool accessories like cowboy boots and belts. For a celebrity, I’d have to choose Selena Gomez. I love her long, flowy dresses – they would fit into my style!”

1. Sundress + Bralette
Angelica’s flowy floral mini dress is adorable on its own, but the way she layered it adds a daring touch. When I saw her on campus, I thought the straps were attached to her dress, but upon closer examination, I realized it was her bralette.
This is a fantastic way to add a little more personality to any dress – experiment with different neckline shapes and bralettes this summer to switch up your look.
2. Casual Shoes
Campuses are filled with classic kicks like Converse, but I love how Angelica wore hers with an ultra-girly outfit. This pairing is a mix of dressy and casual that I don’t often see!
