Laura’s rainy day look is anything but gloomy.
The wind and the rain were treacherous the day I spotted Laura on campus. Everyone was soaked from the rain, looking gloomy and dull in their ponchos and wellies. Laura stood out from the masses with her white polo and a smile on her face.

Where do you get your fashion inspiration from? “Nothing specific, really. I have my own style and just wear what I like.”
Why did you choose this particular outfit today? “Well, today I was in a hurry. I had to get to my college fast and just threw on these pieces. Especially with the rainy weather, I made sure to stay warm but elegant at the same time.”
If you could raid anyone’s closet, whose would you pick? “Rihanna’s for sure! Although I like classic pieces, her edgy style is really cool. I like her different outfits for different occasions.”
Where do you like to shop? “In Italy. I’m from there so I love Italian fashion and design. In fact, I got most of the pieces I’m wearing today overseas.”
Do you have any fashion advice for other students? “Hmm, nothing ground-breaking. Just wear what you like and have fun with it!”
Do you have any hobbies or interests? “Beauty and makeup artistry is a major passion of mine.”
Elements of Laura’s Outfit
1. Hold-Everything Bag
When I spotted Laura, she was hurrying to class. Naturally, she had to bring a larger bag to fit her books, pens, and other daily necessities. On a day like this one, nearly everyone was toting black or grey bags, so the brighter color and mongrammed pattern on her bag truly stood out.
2. White Shoes
Laura’s OOTD really stood out thanks to her bright white slip-ons. The pristine whiteness is a bold choice on such a grey day. Shoes can really make or break an outfit and in Laura’s case, the outfit was definitely made.
