On My Playlist: Panic! At the Disco

Concert outfit ideas inspired by one of our fave emo bands.

“On My Playlist” takes new hits and old favorites and turns them into outfits anyone can rock.

By the time this is posted, I will be at that very exciting concert that I mentioned last time… namely, one of the many new Panic! At The Disco tour stops!

Panic! At The Disco (or P!ATD) is an emo/alternative band known for creating songs that are catchy and thought-provoking all at once. The band has changed over the years (in terms of sound, style, and number of members), but through it all, they’ve maintained their awesome sense of creativity.

For this playlist, I decided to pick my favorite Panic! At The Disco tracks from the band’s usual concert setlist, so you know that there’s at least one classic in here. These outfits were designed with a concert/party setting in mind, so get ready to rock out!

Emperor’s New Clothes

Products: Jacket – Charlotte Russe, T-Shirt Dress – Gap, Tights – Modcloth, Boots –Boohoo, Phone Case – Amazon

From their newest album (Death of a Bachelor), Emperor’s New Clothes is a definite rocking track, so I tried to infuse that feeling into this low-key concert outfit.

Depending on the concert (if it’s indoors or not, if it’s summertime or not), you can nix the boots and tights, but for a chilly spring night, these pieces give off a cool vibe.

The t-shirt dress and bomber are practically blank slates, so you can dress them up or down, depending on your night out style. (I suggest a layered necklace or a pretty red scarf, but you do you.) The phone case is a cute little shoutout to the band, especially if you’re chill in how you show your faves some love.

Miss Jackson

Products: Jacket – Charlotte Russe, Jeggings – H&M, Tank Top – Hollister, Choker – P!ATD Store, Shoes – Modcloth

I’ll just say it: Miss Jackson doesn’t sound like a very nice girl, but as a regular heartbreaker, you know she’s on top of all the trends and wants all eyes on her.

Channel that kind of confidence by indulging in a mix of metallics and glitter with your shoes, tank top, and jacket. For ultimate comfort while dancing, shimmy into some stretchy jeggings that will move with you, and wear your heart on your sleeve (or rather, your neck) with a choker that doubles as a band shoutout!

 I Write Sins, Not Tragedies

Products: Jumpsuit – Nasty Gal, Jacket – Zaful, Eyeliner – Charlotte Russe, Lipstick – Forever 21

Let’s be honest: it would be a sin if I didn’t include this classic P!ATD song on my playlist.

I couldn’t resist taking inspiration from the music video — who doesn’t remember that famous red jacket and thick eyeliner? Update the combo and make it more party-friendly by donning this red velvet jacket, perfect for crashing weddings or getting down with friends. The bodysuit keeps the look super classy and simple.

For this look, shoes aren’t as important as the makeup is. (Heels are a good go-to, but any footwear works when you wear it with confidence!) Be sure to do your eyeliner (thick or thin, you choose), and top the look off with a little bit of lipstick. You can opt for a sweeter shade if you want your eyes to pop, but I’m in love with the deep red.

Bring Back the Beat!

What do you think? What are your go-to Panic! At The Disco tunes? What songs are you jamming out to now — and what songs should inspire my next outfits? Let me know in the comments!
