Net bags. Statement stripes. Bra tops. Fuchsia pink. Slogan tees.

What do these designs all have in common? They’re some of the hottest styles of summer 2017.

If you’ve been on the prowl for your next great summer purchase, look no further. We’ve got the goods, you’ve got the summer part-time job moolah. Let’s make this work.

1. Fisherman’s net bags

Where we found the look: White – Amazon | Multicolored – Eco Bags

Who reported it: Elle

They’re not just for fishermen anymore! Whether these mesh bags are in the traditional white or a bold, bright hue, they’re undeniably in fashion right now.

Sport these large, versatile totes anywhere from the streets of L.A. to your locally owned grocery store. (Just remember to place smaller items like cosmetics into a larger case before you lug them around in a net bag.)

2. Statement stripes

Where we found the look: Cropped – ASOS | One shoulder – Nordstrom | Dress – J.Crew | Swim top – Shopbop

Who reported it: The Fashion Spot

From stripes on the runway to stripes in celebrity influencers’ Instagram campaigns, it’s go big or go home. These designs not only feature stripes as the main event, but they do so in a way that’s provocative and oh so stylish.

Now, the only question left is: horizontal or vertical?

3. Bra tops

Where we found the look: Mickey Mouse – Urban Outfitters | White – Forever 21 | Floral – Belk

Who reported it: Harper’s Bazaar

This summer, be bold and embrace the bra top trend! Apart from being graphically interesting, these tops are versatile in the best way. You can wear them paired with an A-line denim skirt, layer them over plain tees, style them with scarves… the possibilities are endless!

4. Fuchsia pink

Where we found the look: Swing dress – Lulu’s | Bag – Ted Baker | Belted dress – Neiman Marcus | Earrings – Nordstrom

Who reported it: Cosmopolitan

Now, who would have guessed that the most popular color this summer would be the hottest shade of pink? Barring pink enthusiast Elle Woods or P!nk herself, it’s a surprise to anyone.

Luckily, fuchsia is easy to wear and looks fabulous on its own! You’re best off wearing it as a short dress (where its bright color will pop without overwhelming you or clashing with other pieces) or as an accessory.

5. Slogan tees

Where we found the look: “Born Sassy” – Etsy | “Girls Can” – Orchard Mile | “Femme Forever” – Nasty Gal | “Boss Babe” – Francesca’s

Who reported it: Glamour

Sassy, punny, and refreshingly political, designer slogan tees have been cropping up everywhere on the runway this season.

While our favorite top seen so far (Dior’s We Should All Be Feminists T-shirt) is, unfortunately, too out of budget to be featured on this list, all tops featured above are inexpensive and still relevant!

Thoughts?
