3 Cute and Cozy Thanksgiving Dinner Outfits

Whether you’re spending the holiday with friends, family, or your S.O., we’ve got you covered!

We’re thankful for friends, family, and, of course, fashion!

Although Thanksgiving is still a few weeks away, it’s never too early to start planning what you’re going to wear!

And, while Thanksgiving may not be associated with the glitz and glam of the winter holidays, there is definitely something about the food, company, and overall warm and pleasant atmosphere that demands wearing a little something special.

Ahead, see my stylish suggestions for what to wear on Thanksgiving, whether you happen to be spending it with friends, family, or your S.O. (and their family). Here are my 3 favorite Thanksgiving dinner outfits:

Outfit #1: Thanksgiving With Friends

Products: Sweater – H&M, Nail Polish – Amazon, Socks – Forever 21, Jeans – H&M, Earrings – Nordstrom Rack, Tote – Century 21, Ankle Boots – Sole Society

If you’re spending Thanksgiving with friends, chances are that you want to wear something casual yet fashionable.  Enter this outfit: Simple and classic, with a dash of fun (Hello, turkey socks!), this look allows you to look good while being comfortable enough to let you focus on what matters most–spending quality time with your friends.

To get the look, put on an oversized beige cable-knit turtleneck sweater. Next, put on a pair of high-rise skinny jeans, which will feel much more comfortable after a filling Thanksgiving dinner than lower-rise jeans. Rock leaf-shaped stud earrings for a touch of fall sparkle, and paint your nails a rich shade of cognac-brown.

No Thanksgiving article would be complete without some sort of reference to turkeys, so put on this adorable and whimsical pair of turkey socks for a lighthearted touch.

Finally, zip up a pair of black heeled ankle boots, and grab a pebbled faux-leather tote to complete the outfit.

Outfit #2: Thanksgiving With Family

Products: Sweater Dress – Old Navy, Socks – Express, Leggings – Uniqlo, Scarf – Hollister, Tote – Forever 21, Ankle Boots – Old Navy

Although your family will be happy to see you on Thanksgiving no matter what you wear, it can never hurt to wear something a little more put-together to impress them — especially if this is your first time back home since the start of the semester. A neutral-colored outfit with a pop of red is always a good idea, and playing with interesting textures is an easy way to make a statement while keeping your look simple.

To re-create this look, begin by putting on a cute gray mock-neck sweater-dress. Then, add a pair of basic black leggings and some marled boot socks. Wrap a cozy plaid scarf around your neck, and add some shine with a glossy black tote.

Lastly, put on a pair of taupe ankle boots to finish off this simple yet fashion-forward outfit.

Outfit #3: Thanksgiving With Your S.O. (and Their Family)

Products: Shirt – J.Crew Factory, Cardigan – Nordstrom, Earrings – Nordstrom Rack, Bangle – Nordstrom Rack, Skirt – Topshop, Knee-High Boots – ASOS, Bag – Nordstrom Rack, Liquid Lipstick – Colour Pop, Tights – Express

Spending Thanksgiving with your S.O. and their family can be intimidating — especially if this is the first time that your S.O. is bringing you home. However, the right outfit can help soothe your nerves and ensure that you make a great impression.

For this look, I decided to mix feminine, laid-back, and preppy aesthetics for a slightly dressed-up outfit that says that you care about impressing your S.O. and their family, without going over the top.

Start by buttoning up a striped shirt with a cool plaid pocket detail; next, add an oversized grandpa cardigan. A trendy red denim mini skirt will give the look a pop of color, while simple super-opaque black tights add coverage and warmth.

Add some classy jewelry, such as these topaz stud earrings and knotted double-bangle bracelet. A saddle bag adds a timeless fall touch, and a pair of goes-with-everything knee-high black boots adds an extra dose of chicness.

To finish off this stylish look, swipe on a matte warm rose liquid lipstick.

I hope that these looks have helped you decide what to wear this holiday, regardless of who you are spending it with!  Happy (early) Thanksgiving!
