Author-Inspired Fashion: Madeleine L'Engle

First published in the 1960s, the Newbury Medal-winning novel was the first in a series of tales about the adventurous and talented Murry family. While the main protagonist of the series is arguably Meg, her siblings and parents are main characters in their own novels. L’Engle was an American writer whose career spanned from the 1940s until her death in 2007 at the age of 88. She wrote mostly young adult fiction, but played around with many different genres, including science fiction, fantasy, realistic, and Biblical.
