Look 1: Alexa Chung’s Laid-Back Cool
Alexa Chung looked cool in a laid-back look while strolling around NYC. Her outfit is perfect for the back-to-school season, since it features roomy denim, a t-shirt that’s easy to toss on, and a practical cardigan sweater.
Alexa paired her mom jeans with a faded graphic t-shirt, and gave her ensemble a pop of color with a bright red cardigan. She also donned a pair of lace-up ballerina flats, a popular fall trend amongst celebs. The rest of her outfit was low-key, as she accessorized simply with a gold pendant necklace and a small black purse.

Alexa’s look is awesome for a day of classes or meetings around campus– it isn’t difficult to throw together, and balances comfort with trendiness.
Keep a pair of trendy, vintage-inspired mom jeans casual by pairing them with a graphic t-shirt. This tee features the same faded look of Alexa’s; make it pop by layering a red cardigan over top. A brightly-colored cardigan is a great way to infuse your fall outfits with some eye-catching flair, and they are a must-have as the summer weather becomes cooler.
Complete the look with a gold-tone pendant necklace, a black bag, and ballerina flats with trendy ankle ties.
Look 2: Vanessa Hudgens’s Lace-Up Look
Vanessa Hudgens was spotted in Los Angeles rocking one of the most popular trends of the moment: a lace-front shirt. If you haven’t already noticed, lace-up tops, bodysuits, and dresses have taken over the shopping scene, and I have to admit that I love how a criss-cross front detail can totally transform even a plain t-shirt into a unique, eye-catching piece.
Vanessa wore a striped lace-up shirt with olive green shorts, oversized brown sunglasses, and a burnt yellow suede bag. She accessorized with trendy layered choker necklaces and a pair of fringed black ankle boots.

The color scheme of Vanessa’s outfit is ideal for the current season. Choose a lace-up blouse in a print like stripes or plaid, and pair it with olive green twill or denim shorts. For a fall feel, go with a pair of ankle booties instead of sandals– preferably fringed ones, like Vanessa’s.

She also wore dark wash skinny jeans with a simple, airy white blouse and a lightweight beige draped coat for a classic look. Julianne kept her accessories simple: round sunglasses with metal trim and a tan-colored bucket bag.

Julianne’s outfit has a classic, timeless feel to it, and all the pieces make for practical and versatile additions to your wardrobe.

The neutral color palette contributes to the classic feel, while a pair of black over-the-knee boots with a short, chunky heel add an on-trend flair.
