Celebrity Street Style of the Week: Diane Kruger, Rita Ora, & Jamie Chung
Every week, I scour the web to find inspiring outfits on your favorite celebs and help you recreate their looks! This week, I was inspired by Diane Kruger, Rita Ora, and Jamie Chung. Read on to see how you can get their looks for yourself.
Look 1: Diane Kruger’s Mixed Prints
Actress Diane Kruger sported mixed prints with her summertime denim while strolling in NYC. She wore destroyed boyfriend jeans with a black and white striped t-shirt tucked into them, accessorizing with a skinny black belt. She also contrasted her stripes with a splash of leopard print on her pointy-toed flats.
Diane also added more polish with accessories, like metal accented sunglasses and a black saddle bag with gold detailing. It’s easy for boyfriend jeans to look ultra casual, but Diane proves that if you add the right details, they can look quite polished.

Diane’s destroyed denim gives this ensemble a casual, relaxed vibe, but note that swapping out the boyfriend jeans for a pair of black trousers would make for a chic, dressier look, too. We love outfits that can easily be transformed with accessory swaps!
For Diane’s ensemble, wear a black and white striped tee tucked into distressed boyfriend jeans. Wear a skinny black belt to add contrast. Accessorize with pieces that give the look a polished feel, like metal cat-eye sunglasses and a structured black saddle bag with gold accents. Mix prints by rocking some leopard print flats.
Look 2: Rita Ora’s Bold Chambray
Rita Ora took NYC by storm in a bold, unique take on denim. Rita wore a chambray button-down shirt as a mini dress with black platform booties and a black crossbody bag. She gave her outfit an unexpected sporty vibe by wearing a baseball cap, along with dark sunglasses and metal bangle bracelets.
While Rita’s look is fit for a pop star, it also makes for awesome outfit inspiration for us non-pop stars. After all, chambray is the perfect light fabric for summertime.

This dark blue chambray shirt dress is the perfect way to get Rita’s look. The light denim material is great for warm summer days, and it features a button-down front similar to Rita’s (though it’s not as short in length!).
Accessorize the dress with some gold or silver bangles, cool sunglasses, and a black crossbody bag. For a sporty, laid-back touch, be sure to wear a baseball cap, which is a fun way to show off some team or school pride.
Taking a cue from Rita, you can complete the look with a pair of black ankle booties– these chelsea boots have a much shorter heel than Rita’s platforms, making them more versatile for everyday wear. White low-top sneakers would also look super cute with this outfit.
Look 3: Jamie Chung’s Laid-Back Chic
Actress Jamie Chung looked chic as always in L.A. this week, wearing a laid-back, cool ensemble. Jamie rocked some light-wash, loose-fitting jeans with a white lace-up blouse, taking on one of this season’s most popular trends. She kept accessories simple but statement-making, adding a beige and blush colored bag with a tassel detail, and blush-colored ballet flats with ankle ties and buckled straps.
Jamie’s look is feminine in a subtle way, but she adds a little edge with her extras. The distressed, vintage-inspired jeans and the edgy accents on her flats create a stylish contrast with the romantic top and bag.

Jamie’s look is just the right balance of cute and casual– it would be perfect for brunch, but could also be worn to class. If you haven’t already bought into the lace-up top trend, take a cue from Jamie and rock a white lace-up blouse. This one is similar to hers and can be worn casually during the day or dressed up at night. For Jamie’s look, pair the blouse with some light-wash mom jeans or boyfriend jeans and a nude or blush colored bag with tassel detailing.
In addition to lace-up clothing, lace-up shoes are also trending, and these blush colored ballerina flats feature contrasting black ankle ties that will give you Jamie’s sweet yet edgy vibe.
