Look 1: Mandy Moore’s Stylish Stripes
This past week, Mandy Moore looked laid-back yet stylish in a statement sweater while out and about in Santa Monica. Mandy wore a black and white striped sweater over some cropped, dark gray skinny jeans and carried a rectangular Gucci crossbody bag.
You can never go wrong with a classic striped top, and Mandy gave hers a twist by rocking some backless red loafer flats. Her loafers gave her look the perfect pop of color. She also accessorized with trendy round sunglasses and a camel colored wide-brim hat.

Mandy’s outfit is the ideal mix of stylish and laid-back, great for a day out with friends or family. If you don’t already have a black and white striped sweater or top in your closet, I suggest investing in one. It makes for a classic, timeless look that will always be in style!
For Mandy’s outfit, wear it with some dark gray or washed black skinny jeans in a cropped length, to show off a pair of eye-catching shoes. These red suede loafer flats are a fabulous dupe for Mandy’s, complete with gold metal trim quite similar to hers. Complete the ensemble with some round sunglasses, a black crossbody bag, and a camel colored felt Panama hat.
Look 2: Hilary Duff’s Sweater & Maxi Skirt Combo
Hilary Duff gave her fitted black maxi skirt a fall spin by wearing it with a marled gray sweater for a unique look. She accessorized her look with some oversized, printed sunglasses, dangling statement earrings, and a black handbag (not pictured), along with a pair of strappy flat black sandals ideal for the Los Angeles climate.
The key to Hilary’s outfit is having the right proportions: her sweater featured a slightly cropped length so that it did not fall too low over her maxi skirt, which would have then hidden her figure.

While maxi skirts are better known for being summertime staples, Hilary proved that they can transition into fall with the right sweater. Plus, this ensemble goes to show just how versatile a simple black maxi skirt can be!
This marled gray sweater features a shorter length that will complement a fitted, high-waisted black maxi skirt without overpowering your silhouette. Opt for some fun accessories like a pair of oversized printed sunglasses and eye-catching earrings to give this otherwise simple look some flair. While I’ve included a pair of flat black strappy sandals for the re-creation of Hilary’s look, black ankle booties work for chillier temps.
Look 3: Margot Robbie’s Rocker-Inspired Look
Actress Margot Robbie looked super cool while traveling in an all-black, rocker-inspired look. Margot wore a graphic t-shirt with a classic eagle print over some highly torn skinny jeans and a pair of black low-top sneakers with stark white soles. While her jeans, sneakers, and tee were ultra laid-back, she gave her ensemble a chic finishing touch by wearing a long, structured black blazer-like coat, pulling it all together. For some added edge, she also carried a bag with a gold studded strap.

Margot’s rocker chic look starts with a monochromatic, all-black color scheme. This t-shirt has a rocker feel thanks to its graphic print (complete with an eagle like Margot’s tee), and it looks pretty badass when worn with some torn-up black skinny jeans. To keep with the laid-back aspect, wear some black low-top sneakers and carry a bag with a studded strap for a rock-inspired vibe. Then, elevate the whole outfit by pulling it together with a chic, structured calf-length black coat. While a faux leather moto jacket would be in keeping with the edginess of the look, a structured wool coat makes for an unexpected, high-fashion twist.
