Celebrity Street Style of the Week: Vanessa Hudgens, Lucy Hale, & Margot Robbie

Every week, I scour the web to find inspiring outfits on your favorite celebs and help you recreate their looks! This week, I was inspired by Vanessa Hudgens, Lucy Hale, and Margot Robbie. Read on to see how you can get their looks for yourself.

Look 1: Vanessa Hudgens’s Laid-Back Cute

Vanessa Hudgens stepped out in Los Angeles this past week in an outfit that was equal parts cute and laid-back. She wore a flowy black and white mini dress with a moon print for an ethereal look perfect for beating the summertime heat. 

Vanessa gave her ensemble a laid-back twist by wearing slide sandals. Though her slides are Givenchy, there are plenty of non high-end brands that offer similar and equally cool options out there that give a look the same casual feel. 

Finally, Vanessa accessorized with delicate layered silver necklaces, including a lariat necklace, which offset her printed dress in just the right way.

To get Vanessa’s cute, casual look, pick a mini dress in a flowy shape with a cool black and white print. The darker color scheme gives a feminine summer dress a bit of an edge, making it stand out from the more colorful options we tend to choose during the warmer months. This dress features a sun and moon print that is somewhat similar to Vanessa’s, and has a light fabric to help you beat the heat. 

Give the dress a laid-back vibe with your extras. For Vanessa’s look, pair it with athletic-inspired slides, though it would also look cute with more feminine sandals or heels. Complete the ensemble by layering on some delicate silver necklaces and rock a pair of round, vintage-esque sunglasses for daytime wear.

Look 2: Lucy Hale’s Casual Cool

Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale ran some errands in L.A. in a cool, androgynous-inspired ensemble that was right on trend. Lucy paired a cropped striped tank with a higher cut neckline with a pair of distressed cropped flair jeans, which have been spotted on many celebs this season. She accessorized with a brown wide-brim hat, a black bag with a chain strap, and a pair of unique “shooties” (shoe-booties) with cutout detail. 

Lucy’s look is great for a casual day while still being trendy and put-together. It’s ideal for any college gal.

Cropped flared jeans are one of the most popular celebrity trends of the season, but they can be tricky to style. Take a cue from Lucy and pair some with a black and white striped tank top – this one features a neckline similar to Lucy’s – and a felt hat with a wide brim. The burgundy hue of this hat will transition nicely into fall, and makes a stylish statement. 

While Lucy’s shooties are quite unique, you can get a similar look with a pair of black d’Orsay flats, which make for a versatile addition to your wardrobe. Pull the ensemble together with a chain strap saddle bag and keep other accessories to a minimum.

Look 3: Margot Robbie’s Trendy Summertime Style

Actress Margot Robbie was spotted in in NYC this past week wearing a fun, trendy summertime look. Margot transformed a simple black mini dress into an eye-catching ensemble by pairing it with a light pink floor-length kimono with a faint floral design. 

The sweet pop of color and airy design of the kimono gave her outfit a total summer vibe, as did her accessories: oversized purple mirrored sunglasses and flat black lace-up sandals. Margot also carried a chunky black saddle bag, which is a handbag shape that is currently trending. Her outfit can go from day to night, and definitely stands out in a crowd.

Margot’s look is playful thanks to its brightly-colored outerwear and bold accessories, which totally transform a simple black dress. This cross strap slip dress has a length similar to Margot’s and is loose-fitting, making it appropriate for day or nighttime wear. A dress like this is a great investment piece, because you can style it so many different ways!

For Margot’s look, wear a long, bright kimono over top of the dress. This one features a summery design, similar colors to Margot’s, and a trendy pom-pom trim. Accessorize with a pair of lace-up sandals, a structured black saddle bag or crossbody, and a pair of round, oversized purple mirrored sunglasses.
