Annie’s colorful jacket immediately stood out to me on this gloomy day in Vienna. Her bright personality fits her authentic style — and the combination makes her a fashionista to watch!

Let’s Talk Fashion
Who or what inspires your style? “People who surround me are my main inspiration – whether it’s in the club, when going to a concert, or in a foreign city.”
Where do you like to shop? “I love to shop at secondhand shops. But I also enjoy going to H&M, 24 Colours, and Weekday!“
How would you describe your sense of style? “I tend to mix black with a lot of pastel colors. When it comes to the silhouette of my clothing, I like [my pieces] oversized and androgynous. So I would describe my style as street style mixed with a little bit of ’90s trash.“
Why did you choose this particular outfit? “The material of the jacket makes me happy!“
What fashion advice would you give to other students looking to improve their style? “Go for basics you [feel] good in! You should always be authentic to yourself and clothing is no exception.”
What are your favorite fashion trends right now? “Bomber jackets, chunky sneakers, and of course ’90s revival.“
Do you have any favorite fashion designers? If so who? “I do! It’s Yves Saint Laurent for me. Although I do not own a clothing piece by him… yet.“
Do you have any unique hobbies or interests? “I have a bunch of hobbies although I don’t know if they are unique in any way. Since I study graphic design, I’m also interested in art and photography. I love to go around taking photos of the city or draw[ing] when I’m feeling restless.“
If you could raid anyone’s closet, who would it be and why? “I guess I would like to raid (musician) Yung Hurn‘s closet. He is an interesting character who doesn’t give a damn about what others think about him. I would definitely love to go through his clothes.”
Elements of Annie’s Outfit
1. Metallic Purple Jacket
Annie bought this jacket at a secondhand shop in Berlin, but now that the ’90s are back, it doesn’t look dated in any way. The fabric has a wonderful sparkle to it which makes Annie stand out in any crowd.
2. Classic Kicks
These old Nikes are also from Annie’s trip to Berlin. Aside from her bold jacket and hair color, her outfit is all black. These beat-up sneakers pop against her dark pants and are a great throwback piece. I even love them with her black socks!
3. Simple Satchel
This wonderful bag is handmade! The designer behind this stunning piece is one of Annie’s closest friends. Not only is this bag practical, but it’s also a total eye-catcher. Is there anything better than a piece like this, made by someone you know?
