Let’s Talk Fashion
Who or what inspires your style? “I grew up in Kosovo during wartime, thus the nearest I could get to fashion was watching MTV and various fashion shows. I took everything from the time and incorporated it into my style. When I get dressed nowadays, I also get inspired by my current emotions. I have to feel what I wear.”
Where do you like to shop? “I do get all my clothes from secondhand stores or have them handmade. My favorite second-hand shop is Bootik54 in Vienna. They always have beautiful pieces to choose from.”
How would you describe your sense of style? “I always rock vintage clothing, but I would describe my style as ‘classy wild!'”
Why did you choose this particular outfit? “The colors of my clothes went great with the gloomy and grey weather today. Also, this is what I wear when I don’t think about my outfit too much and I wanted to have an effortless look today.”
What fashion advice would you give to other students looking to improve their style? “Fashion does [say] a lot about your personality, so let your personality determine what you wear!”
What are your favorite fashion trends right now? “Vintage, vintage, vintage! In particular, shoes and big jackets.”
Do you have any favorite fashion designers? If so who? “Not really, as I said I mainly enjoy vintage or handmade fashion. So I don’t cheer so much for conventional designers.”
Do you have any unique hobbies or interests? “I wouldn’t consider it ‘unique’ but I do love to sing. Mainly it is pop and experimental music I’m going for. I also have a YouTube channel where I upload my covers named Arë Krasnixi!”
If you could raid anyone’s closet, who would it be and why? “Definitely Johnny Depp. His style is elegant and stylish at the same time. I adore how he always makes his outfits it seem so effortless but chic.”
Elements of Arber’s Outfit
1. Round Glasses
There is just something about round glasses that makes a person feel instantly artistic. Arber rocks those glasses with confidence, pairing them with an oversized scarf to polish off his look.
2. Vintage Shoes
Not only do these vintage shoes look sophisticated, but in combination with these fun socks, they pop even more. Arber has a great sense of style which is showcased in little details like these that make his look feel complete.
3. DIY Bracelets
One thing that stood out to me were Arber’s handmade bracelets. This colorful addition to his outfit adds just the right amount of personality to make his otherwise effortless look just a little more special.
