Can you say comfy?
I spotted this look during one of the worst weeks of the year: midterms. Also known as the week that’s all study and no sleep. I spotted Avigail‘s comfy combo and immediately wished I was wearing it myself. Now that midterms are past, I forsee myself recreating this look for finals week in May.

Who or what inspires your style? “Colors. I especially like darker tones. Also, different kinds of music [change] my style. I love Selena Quintanilla’s music and style. It all depends on the genre. If I listen to country, I want boots and a plaid shirt. If I’m listening to salsa, I want a red dress and some cute heels. If I’m listening to hip hop, I want baggy sweatpants and a big t-shirt.”
How would you describe your sense of style? “My sense of style is laid back and casual for the most part [with] lots of jeans and not too many layers. The only thing not that casual about my outfits [is that] I’m almost always wearing heels… just not today!”
Why did you choose this particular outfit? “This outfit is my perfect midterms go-to. It’s really comfortable and warm. It’s super loose and roomy. [It] just makes me more comfortable for these stressful midterms. I’ve studied so much so I just wanted to relax.”
What fashion advice would you give to other students looking to improve their style? “As long as you’re comfortable in your look, that’s all that should matter. Don’t try too hard to follow the newest trend and stick to what you like.”
What are your favorite trends right now? “Anything crochet and huge t-shirt dresses paired with some thigh high [boots]. It’s so casual with the t-shirt dress but the thigh highs add that extra.”
What do you do for fun? “I have the cutest husky name Miklo and I like taking him on runs. I have fun doing nail art and dying my hair every color [of] the rainbow. My last color was purple. My main stress release is going out dancing. I love to dance bachata, cumbia, salsa, and merengue.”
If you could raid anyone’s closet, who would it be and why? “I would have to say Selena Gomez because I think I could pull off her style. She seems to be around my size. I’m pretty petite so I like to keep that in mind. Her dressy style is how I would like to dress when I go out dancing. [She] still has a cute casual style.”

Clothes marked with brand logos are still trending, and Calvin Klein reigns supreme in that department. Avigail sports a whole matching sweatsuit, which naturally makes getting dressed a breeze.
2. Colorful Hair + Lipstick
Avigail did something smart. Her sweatsuit combination was simple and easy, yet she topped it off with some bright red hair tucked away under her black locks and a full face of flawless makeup. I have major lipstick envy!

What’s more iconic than Converse? Classic chucks finish off Avigail’s outfit and keep her comfy all day.
