Need an outfit idea for the upcoming warm weather? Look no further than this perfect transitional look.

If you’ve never lived in Florida, you might not know that our state can be bipolar when it comes to temperatures. One day it’s sweltering hot and the next day the temperature drops below 55 degrees. Regardless of the weather fluctuations, Marina comes prepared for whatever Florida has to throw at her. She’s dressed perfectly for the heat, yet her cable knit cardigan will keep her cozy during chilly nights. Let’s all take some style notes from Marina.

Elements of Marina’s Style

1. Necklace & Choker

Marina isn’t afraid to mix metals, and you shouldn’t be either. Some people say it’s a fashion don’t, but Marina and I agree that it’s a DO! Naturally, most people would just style her outfit with gold accessories, but adding a silver element gives her outfit a fresh, unexpected hint of sparkle.

2. Earrings

Marina got these super cute earrings from Free People. I love that despite being a small accessory, earrings can make a large impact in an outfit. The gold complements the turquoise gem and the small details sketched on the moon are adorable. It’s the little things that count!

3. Brown High-Tops

Marina’s kicks have loads of personality. If shoes could talk, I’m sure this pair would have a lot to say. I like that Marina didn’t go with the typical sandal + dress combo. Instead, she added this element which instantly made her look sporty.

4. Dress

When I first approached Marina, I had no idea that she was wearing a dress; I initially asked her where she got her skirt from! I was shocked. My favorite detail about her Forever 21 dress is the bottom half. I love the pleats in the “skirt” part. The material is light and airy, which is great for the Florida weather.

5. Tote Bag

Marina’s adorable bag is from Zara. Not only does it match her cute outfit, it can hold all her books, which is ideal for a busy college student.
